Inspired by Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne mod, Defense of the Ancients, Riot games developed and published a multiplayer online battle game for Microsoft and Macos and named as League of Legends(LoL). The interesting part is its free to play.
In the game, players assume the role of a hidden "messenger" that guides a "boss " with unique abilities and battle against another team of users or pc-guided champions. The goal is usually to beat the opposing team's "core", a system which lies at the heart of a base protected by defensive systems, despite other definite game modes exist as well. Each LoL match is distinct, with all stars starting off less energy but boosting strength by collecting things and experience over the story of the game. Its the world's most competitive game that sports huge range of tournaments worldwide including the VIP championship series where the rich compete for millions.
LoL was generally well welcomed upon its arrival in 2009, and has since grown famous, with a live and wide-range fanbase. By the month of July 2012, LoL was the most played computer game in North America and Europe in terms of the hours played.As of 1,2014, over 67 million folk played LoL per month, 27 million per day, and over 7.5 million all together during peak hours.In Sep, 2016 the company predicted that there are over 100 million active gamers each month. The game's reputation has led it to expand into merchandise, with toys, accessories, apparel, as well as tie-ins to other media through music video clips, net series, documentaries, and books.
